Spring has finally sprung, which means it's time to start thinking of ways to incorporate the bright, flower-filled season into your wedding day. One of our favorite ways to add signs of spring to your big day is through your wedding cake. Sure, a classic white confection is always in-season, but we can't help but dream of romantic spring-inspired styles for nuptials from March to June.
There are endless ways to make a cake sing of spring: Think freshly bloomed flowers and light-filled pastels like lilac, powder blue, lemon yellow, and soft blush. But it's not just about color or decorative accents — to make a cake speak entirely to your spring wedding date, it's essential that you find a balance of style and color.
Take, for example, a trendy naked cake. While we especially love them for fall weddings, they can be the perfect treat for your warm-weather nuptials when deftly crafted by the right baker. Similarly, chic metallic wedding cakes don't necessarily seem so spring-like, but when used on a soft blue-and-white ombré confection, the look is formal and fresh.
From ruffled wedding cakes in pale pink shades and springy white desserts topped with flower buds and succulents, there's a way to add a seasonal touch to your big-day dessert that will feel entirely celebratory. So if you're feeling as excited for warm weather (and the start of wedding season!) as we are, then click through to see 20 of our favorite spring-inspired wedding cakes.
